In German New Medicine (GNM), asthma is not a mystery, and not a random malfunction. Bronchial asthma is an EC, an Epileptoid Crisis. A precise, biologically programmed event that only occurs when very specific brain conditions are met.

What is actually involved?

Asthma involves the musculature of the bronchi as a primary cause.

Epi-crisis: The non-negotiable rule

There must be two active conflicts on opposite cerebral hemispheres for an asthma attack to occur. One conflict alone can never create asthma.

1)      Right hemisphere - the primary key

Bronchial musculature relay

Conflict theme: Fear of aggression. This conflict affects the ability to breathe out.

2)     Left hemisphere - the necessary second conflict

Any other active conflict on the opposite hemisphere. This second conflict “locks” the system into an asthma constellation.

No second conflict = no asthma attack

The Territorial relays, emotional polarity switches

There are 5 territorial relays (4 conflict themes) located on each cerebral hemisphere. These relays determine whether a person shifts toward mania or depression and play a crucial role in asthma constellations.

Left hemisphere - 5 territorial relays (4 conflicts)

These include:

-          Fear of aggression

-          Territorial loss (in males) / Sexual conflict (in females)

-          Identity conflict or territorial anger

-          Boundary demarcation conflict

When one of these left-hemisphere conflicts is active, and the right-hemisphere bronchial musculature conflict is present, the neurological requirement for asthma is fulfilled.

The critical moment : when asthma appears

When the bronchial mucosa is in the EC,and the opposite hemisphere remains conflict-active,

An asthma attack is triggered.

This is not coincidence. This is biology responding with precision.

What is an asthma attack in terms of GNM?

An asthma attack is:

-          An Epileptoid Crisis

-          Characterized by prolonged expiration

Why expiration?

Because the bronchial musculature controls breathing OUT.

-          Bronchial musculature = inability to breathe out (expiration)

-          The lungs feel trapped, tight, compressed.

Loss of consciousness - why it can happen?

The bronchial system is connected to the sensory cortex. Because of this:

-          The epileptoid crisis may involve altered awareness

-          Or even loss of consciousness

This explains why severe asthma attacks can feel neurologically overwhelming, not just respiratory.

When both sides are involved : It is the most severe form

If laryngeal musculature (on left side) is also involved, the situation intensifies dramatically.

The constellation:

-          Right hemisphere → Bronchial musculature

-          Left hemisphere → Laryngeal musculature

Result: Trouble breathing IN and OUT

Breakdown:

-          Laryngeal musculature- Inability to breathe IN- Inspiration blocked

-          Bronchial musculature- Inability to breathe OUT

-  Expiration blocked

This creates the terrifying sensation of being trapped between breaths, a full motor lock of the respiratory system.

The most obvious track to work with is: “a fear of aggression”, because it will be a fear of aggression track that will create an EC to give the individual an Asthma Attack, and on the opposite hemisphere it could be any of the territorial cortical relays that is conflicts active.

The GNM truth about asthma

Asthma is:

-          A two-conflict constellation (though we do not call 'Asthma' a constellation in the GNM)

-          A bi-hemispheric brain event

-          A precise Epileptoid Crisis

-          A meaningful biological response, not a defect

When the conflicts dissolve, the brain no longer needs this program, and the asthma loses its purpose.
